Hello, my name is Anneke. I grew up in the church. and for the most part, I thought I was being a “good Christian.” I blocked out a lot of the hard questions that didn’t make sense and ignored my own areas of sin that I couldn’t seem to overcome despite Galatians 5:22. I wasn’t committing any crimes, getting drunk or cursing, so I believed that was being “good.” I never heard from God, and I thought that was only for the REALLY good Christians. I never saw miracles, just heard about them and assumed they only took place in third world countries. Nobody talked about the Holy Spirit and I also believed that I definitely did not have any demonic oppression, because I was saved.
Church creates a space for spiritual growth, accountability, and understanding your role as part of the body of Christ! It’s a place of worship, purpose, belonging, and community. Some of my fondest memories in life is when I was plugged into my local church. I had a group of deep friendships, serving the Lord alongside of each other and doing life together.
However, what the church did not talk about was mental health, soul wounds, mind, body, spirit connections, the prophetic, or demonic oppression.
15 years ago, I started to ask questions about what a Christian was really about. Here we are today. I’m sharing with you my findings of how the mind, body and soul shape our relationships to ourselves, others, and God.
I have been leading others in inner healing and deliverance prayer since 2019 with my church and independently. I have received training in inner healing prayer and have served for many years on prayer teams over the last two decades.
My experience includes being a Young Life Leader, a BSF Leader, participating in inner-city outreach, and hosting small groups. I have also served on various ministry teams, including leading women's Bible studies and outreach programs, as well as participating in international missions.
I have attended physical healing and prophetic conferences, and completed an intensive women’s ministry mentorship program.
I am continually furthering my spiritual growth through podcasts, books, conferences classes.
